Orange Banana Smoothie / Hair Products

Do you ever get up in the morning craving something, then you go into the kitchen to find that you don’t have what you need to make it? I have really gotten used to having a smoothie in the morning for breakfast. I got up this morning with my usual smoothie craving then realized that I was basically out of fruit and did not have any spinach left. All I had was a frozen banana. It was time to get creative. I made a smoothie that was so simple and it hit the spot.
I took the frozen banana and put it in the blender with 2 table spoons of hemp seeds and some orange juice. So simple and so tasty....just blend until smooth and creamy. :o)

Okay, so I have a couple of more products that I have found that I really like. I’ve tried a couple different shampoos and my favorite so far is Giovanni. I tried some Kiss My Face shampoo and conditioner, but it left my hair greasy, and it made my head itch. I've been using the Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat shampoo and conditioner for a couple of months now. I have straight hair that loves to cling to my head….no body what so ever. The Giovanni actually gives my hair body and leaves it shiny, and best of all it doesn’t make my head itch.

About a month ago I ran out of my old “bad” hairspray, so thought I would try to find some that was animal cruelty free. I’m slowly replacing the bad with the good. :o) Anyway, I noticed that Giovanni had hairspray also, so I ordered some of their L.A. Hold Hair Spritz. I totally love it. It’s non aerosol and has some super holding power that gives your hair a shine. It doesn’t leave your hair feeling all sticky either.

Of course the big take on these products are that they have no animal by-products and are cruelty free. Being enriched with certified organic botanicals and not containing harsh chemicals helps too. :o)

~Peace~

  1. Isn't it kind of a good feeling, though, to be out of fruit? I remember not eating well and my apples and other fruit would always go bad before I could finish it. Now I can't buy it quickly enough!

  2. Your smoothie sounds great; I usually have the slightly different problem of running out time in the mornings rather than fruit...I love smoothies in the AM too; must get up a little earlier!

Thanks for the heads up on the shampoo; that's one thing that I'm always trying different brands of...can't seem to find one I really like. I'll have to give Giovanni a try next time.

  4. I have a hard time finding a natural, vegan shampoo that doesn't make my hair oily. I hate spending $10 on a bottle that I don't know if I will like. Maybe I will try this one next time!
