The Daniel Fast Diet

I have had several people to ask me about the Daniel Fast Diet. What is the Daniel Fast Diet and what foods can you eat? I have put together some information for you. This would be a great way to jump start your new journey if you are considering becoming a vegetarian or vegan.

The first three days of our 21 day fast, we did a water/juice fast. That was tough, but we got through it. That really gave our bodies a boost in detoxing from all the sugars and processed foods that we had been used to eating. The first week on the diet will be tough, because your body is detoxing and going through withdrawals. But, on that second week, you will be amazed at how you feel!

The Daniel fast is eating only fruits and vegetables for a certain amount of time and abstaining from meat products. Some people use a Daniel fast as a dieting method. Some people use a Daniel fast for spiritual reasons.

“ In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three full weeks. I ate no pleasant food, no meat or wine came into my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled." Daniel 10:2, 3
